01 Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the MicroSteps mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and MicroSteps. We recommend that you read them carefully before using the Service.

02 Description of Service

MicroSteps is an AI-powered goal and habit tracking application. The Service provides:

• Goal creation across multiple life categories including fitness, health, learning, personal development, finance, and career
• AI-generated personalized daily and weekly tasks tailored to your goals, timeline, and preferences
• Progress tracking with metrics, milestones, and visual analytics
• Streak tracking to help you build and maintain consistent habits
• Personalized roadmaps that adapt as you make progress

The Service is available on iOS, Android, and via the web at microsteps.io.

03 Account Terms

To use MicroSteps, you must create an account. By creating an account, you agree to the following:

• You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. If you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent
• You may only maintain one account per person. Creating multiple accounts may result in suspension
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Do not share your password with anyone
• You must provide accurate and complete information during registration and keep your account information up to date
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, whether or not you authorized that activity
• You must notify us immediately at support@microsteps.io if you suspect unauthorized access to your account

04 Subscription & Payments

Free Tier

MicroSteps offers a free tier with limited access to goals and features. The free tier allows you to explore the core functionality of the Service at no cost.

Pro Subscription

The Pro subscription unlocks the full MicroSteps experience, including unlimited goals, advanced AI-generated tasks, detailed analytics, and priority support. Pro subscriptions are managed through the following platforms:

• Apple App Store -- for iOS users, subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID account
• Google Play Store -- for Android users, subscriptions are billed through your Google account

Auto-Renewal

Pro subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period (monthly or annually) unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can cancel your subscription at any time through your device's subscription settings.

Refunds

Refund policies are governed by the respective platform (Apple or Google). To request a refund, please contact Apple or Google directly through their standard refund process. MicroSteps does not process payments or refunds directly.

05 AI-Generated Content

MicroSteps uses artificial intelligence to generate personalized tasks, recommendations, and insights. By using these features, you acknowledge and agree that:

• AI-generated content is produced by machine learning models and may not always be accurate, complete, or appropriate for your specific circumstances
• AI suggestions are not a substitute for professional medical, financial, legal, or psychological advice. Always consult a qualified professional for decisions in these areas
• We do not guarantee specific outcomes or results from following AI-generated tasks. Your progress depends on many factors, including your effort, consistency, and external circumstances
• AI-generated content may occasionally contain errors or suggest tasks that are not suitable for you. Use your own judgment and discontinue any task that feels unsafe or inappropriate
• The quality and relevance of AI-generated content depends on the accuracy and completeness of the information you provide about your goals

06 Acceptable Use

You agree to use MicroSteps only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal, harmful, or abusive purpose
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise derive the source code of the application
• Use automated scripts, bots, scrapers, or other automated means to access or interact with the Service
• Share your account credentials with others or allow others to access the Service through your account
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts, our servers, or any related systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
• Use the Service to transmit malware, viruses, or other harmful code
• Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely represent your affiliation with any person or entity

07 Intellectual Property

The MicroSteps name, logo, application design, user interface, AI algorithms, and all related technology are the exclusive property of MicroSteps and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

• Our Property -- MicroSteps owns all rights, title, and interest in the Service, including its design, code, features, and AI technology
• Your Data -- You retain full ownership of your personal data, goals, and any content you create within the Service
• License -- We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms
• Feedback -- If you provide feedback or suggestions about the Service, we may use them without obligation to you

08 Data & Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Our Privacy Policy describes in detail how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information. By using the Service, you agree to the data practices described in our Privacy Policy.

Key points include:

• We never sell your personal data to third parties
• Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest
• You can delete your account and all associated data at any time
• AI processing sends only goal context, never your full profile or personal identifiers

09 Disclaimers

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. To the fullest extent permitted by law, MicroSteps disclaims all warranties, including but not limited to:

• Warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement
• Any warranty that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
• Any warranty regarding the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of AI-generated content
• Any warranty that the Service will meet your specific requirements or expectations

MicroSteps is not responsible for any missed goals, unmet expectations, or outcomes resulting from the use of the Service. You use the Service at your own discretion and risk.

10 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

• MicroSteps' total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the total amount of subscription fees you have paid to MicroSteps in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim
• In no event shall MicroSteps be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, use, or goodwill
• MicroSteps shall not be liable for any damages resulting from your reliance on AI-generated content or recommendations
• These limitations apply regardless of the legal theory on which the claim is based, whether in contract, tort, strict liability, or otherwise

11 Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement at any time:

• By You -- You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. All your data, including goals, tasks, progress, and streaks, will be immediately and permanently deleted
• By Us -- We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in abusive behavior, or use the Service in a manner that threatens its integrity or the experience of other users. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before or at the time of suspension

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, and Intellectual Property) shall continue to apply.

12 Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make changes:

• We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page
• For material changes, we will notify users through the app or via email
• Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms

If you do not agree with the modified Terms, you should discontinue your use of the Service and delete your account.
